I think we should go way beyond just storage and compute -- it needs
to be tied into strong community interaction, otherwise we are simply
Amazon EC2 (which, I note, has lots of public datasets already) or the
Open Science Data Cloud.  I think having strong community buy-in,
emphasizing interoperability between applications, and so on needs to
be a component.

Can you say more about the "NDS labs proposal"?
